The organism responsible for the light produced here bears a scientific name "Pryodium Bahamene", and is so small a microscope is required to see a single individual. What appears to be a flash of light is really the result of thousands of flashes,each generated by a single living animal. Nightly boat rides on the luminous lagoon.
